hi clint, nice to meet you. i'm a fan of, and a friend of, purple's. i was wondering what are these moe's homewreckers of which andclint speaks? i thought maybe it was a simpson's reference and that it would be beer. y'know, from moe's tavern. (*cue homer simpson voice saying: mmm, beer"*) but then you said southwestern and cheese sauce (*cue me saying: mmm, cheese*) so i poked around on the internet till i found a site about the eatery called moe's. so the burrito is called a homewrecker because of the bean content, right? hee. then i got all intrigued and read the menu (i love me some tex-mex) and called to ask what kind of "meat" they have when they say "choice of meat" and ~ though no shrimp or fish ~ they do offer tofu. tofu! how very cosmopolitan...

i think you hit the nail on the head with the homewrecker name. most of the names come from tv shows/movies though not all of them. yes, tofu sells it to the vegan/wild oats/whatever-yuppies-are-called-now crowd. i still love fish tacos, made famous to me by a cuban restaurant. that and a couple of pitchers of margaritas. did you notice the pitcher of margaritas at moe's was called the "fun bobby?" always a pleasure, c

i saw the "fun bobby" under the drinks menu but was wondering what it was. ahh, a PITCHER of margaritas. hee. well, purple may have alerted you, but if you come into town, there's a place called "chez jos" that has fish tacos and burritos. the type of fish changes daily. also, baha fresh has a deeee-lectible shrimp taco, and also a fish taco (but the fish is fried). but best of all: jackson's on 21st has a grilled tuna taco "tacos del mar" appetizer that i like a lot. um, i think i'm getting hungry now. well, clearly.

yes, she mentioned chez jose. i'll have to get by there. there's nothing like fish tacos and a pitcher (or ten) of sangria on a warm summer evening.
